M-M

M-M, México Mágico. There are two different Mexicos to me. There is the one where people have access to all the modern societies' commodities like housing, a job, health care, and clean water. And then there is the other side, where people struggle to make the ends meet, often with very limited access to clean drinking water or water at all.

I visited the village called Parres, a bit outside of Mexico City. A friend of mine living there showed me around and walked me through the issues they were currently having with access to water. The majority of the houses did not have a piping system and therefore the water needs to be gathered differently. For example, with rain water harvesting systems. We talked a good while about the situation, the need to make the infrastructure better, and the need for the government to take action regarding this matter. These are some shots taken in Parres.
